Bergognone

For the project at Via Bergognone 53 in Milan, part of a major redevelopment designed by architect Mario Cucinella (MCA), Soglianese Costruzioni created the striking roof covering of the internal courtyard.

The project stands out for the use of large glass panels, anchored to a structure of metal tubular elements that follow a refined catenary curve. The stability of the entire system is ensured by a sophisticated network of spiral strand cables—an engineering solution that reconciles the geometric complexity of the roof with an extraordinary sense of visual lightness.
