Studio Soglianese
For this impressive project of approximately 2,000 sqm in Miami Beach, Soglianese Costruzioni created cutting-edge facades and roofing systems using tensile structures and curved glass.
The choice of cable technology was essential to combine an extremely lightweight aesthetic with the very strict local technical regulations (Hurricane Building Codes), driven by the frequency of cyclonic events. The large entrance canopy stands out for its construction principle, based on a sophisticated system of cables and struts that, in addition to ensuring the required structural stability, defines the aesthetic character of the soffit.
This project demonstrates how working in challenging environmental contexts can become an opportunity to turn regulatory constraints into drivers for creating highly precise, transparent architecture.
